AOTW CONTEST Winner

Hail again, my lovelies!

So I pushed forward the contest a week and a few days but now I have a winner to announce : )



ARTabstraction came with a great straight forward story of her encounter with an extreme weeaboo that turned into a very awkward situation!
I will use this story to create an intricate AOTW strip with ARTabstraction as the main character!

So if you'd be so kind, ARTabstraction, give me a small reference of yourself (can be a drawing) and I'll start with the comic as soon as school settles down!

Here's her submission:

"First things first. I used to be sorta weeaboo, but quietly so. I never went around blasting it. I just read tons of manga and had some buttons on my backpack from my favorite artists.
Soooo... First day of college, alright? I'm walking down the hall with my headphones in and I see a girl sporting a Kuroshitsuji messenger bag with a great pic of Ciel and Sebastian on it. I didn't recognize that picture, so I stopped to chat. All I managed to get out was "Is that from Kuroshitsuji-" before the girl erupted into SQUEALS. I stopped, looked around to see if anyone had heard the wierd squealing noises she was making. Yep. They had. EVERYONE was staring at us. And if that wasn't bad enough, she started SCREAMING about how "Ciel and Sebastian are SUGOII KAWAII DESU-YO NE! And YAOI was teh SMEX and they should just shut up and fuck already. And how Ciel was such an obvious Uke.... etc. By now I'm trying to hide in my hoodie from the freaked-out stares of my fellow college newbies. I was bright red. I made agreeable noises and got the HELL OUTTA DODGE as soon as I could. I walked around the rest of the day not meeting anyone's eyes and listening to my ipod.
I will never, and I mean NEVER- comment on anything that obviously anime again. For the sake of my sanity and of my eardrums.

So- there's the story! Whadda you guys think? Bad?"

This week we will set up a little contest surrounding my AOTW-series (Adventures of The Weeaboo mleth.deviantart.com/gallery/2… )!


YOUR TASK:

You are going to write down a story of your best (or worst) encounter with a "Weeaboo" or "Otaku", down in the comment section below. It can be everything from an encounter during an anime con to a conversation over the internet. Anything that you found was weird, funny or awkward! It can also be a story about yourself as a former weeaboo!
Then I will chose the one I think was the best and that also would fit well into an AOTW comic!



THE RULES:

There are pretty much no rules. You can write down as many stories as you'd like, as long as you think they decerve to be told!
The deadline is set to monday next week (november 19th)


THE PRIZE:

Since my AOTW series all revolve around stories or experiences had with Weeaboos, the winner of this contest will have their story told in the form of an AOTW comic made by me! Your name will be both on the comic strip itself and in the description of it, as well as in the winning journal.
